Freeze Framez

Chad Franz, one of my favorite wedding photographers just made available the coolest new thing for receptions. Instead of putting those outdated 35mm cameras on your table, Freeze Frame will allow your guests to take pictures of themselves. This is an awesome way for your guests to be creative and have fun! Not to mention all the crazy peoples photos to remember your wedding later. http://www.freezeframez.com/

Check out Chad for your next wedding, his shots are amazing, kinda of a photojournalist approach. He is not your average stand around and take posed shots-he is one of the best! His wesbite: http://www.chadfranz.com/

ahhhhh me without makeup!

Kiralee of EyeMax makeup recently featured me on her blog- yes without makeup! i have a condition called alopecia which causes me to loose hair on my face, its ok though because kiralee makes me look like a model everytime. I love makeup- i could only imagine what i would do without it. She featured me to show how to do your eyes and brows. Check out her blog here: http://eyemaxbykiralee.blogspot.com/2008/11/before-and-after.html

Kiralee is amazing, i recommend her to all my clients. I used her for my wedding and girls and i still continue to use her for all my special events.

My favorite that she did was on my sister for my wedding:

March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction

I had the great opportunity to be a part of the March of Dimes Charity Event on October 28th at the Marriott Hotel Dowtown Indianapolis. The March of Dimes is foundation whoose mission is to improve the health of babies. This event, the Signature Chefs Auction featured chefs from Palomino, Ruth Chris, Oceanaire, St. Elmos, Harry and Izzys, and Adobo Grill all which donated their time and food along with special live auctions to help out all the babies. The honorary of the night was Colts Coach Tony Dungy's sister Lauren Dungy-Poythress. This event was super fun for me, probably because i got to try all the delicious food! I was so angry i forgot my camera, i will try to find pics.

I finally found these!

Double Duty

Double Duty for Budget Weddings I think this is a great idea. Placecard and favor! Also if you add a table runner to your table, you dont really need a centerpiece. And it adds so much color to your table. What a way to wow your guests with something different.

Something different - love this!

Add some color and originality to your wedding. These beautiful ring bearer pillows bring a sense of your personality and style to your wedding. Find these great pillows at :

Why didn't i think of that?

This is the most creative wedding invitation i have ever seen, and i love it! How cool to get a dvd as your invite, an you can do it in your own style. Here is an example i found on one of my favorite blogs: http://redprairiepress.blogspot.com/2008/03/our-wedding-invite.html.
Watch the invitation and think of how you could do yours.

What to do after you say, "I Do"

So, you have finally tied the knot and have a dozen centerpieces on your hands. You spent all this money on something that is going to go to waste after your big day? What next? Here are some of the best ways to get rid of all those leftovers without letting them go to waste.

1) Donate your flowers to a nursing home. Nothing can brighten someone’s day quite as much as a simple bouquet of flowers. Imagine the look on their faces when the get a special delivery right to their very own door.

2) Give a little floral inspiration to your favorite people. Have your centerpieces sent to someone who couldn’t be there to celebrate your wedding day with you. Maybe it is a great-grandmother or a distant cousin. If the flowers are still in good condition, have a sibling or friend drop them off for you, or even have them delivered. These missing guests would appreciate being included even though they couldn’t make it. They’ll feel like they were genuinely missed.

3) Do you know of a battered women’s shelter or a children’s home? Your used flowers could become something new in the eyes of those who could use some spirit lifting.

4) A local hospital would really appreciate the gift! Think about how you’d feel being stuck in a hospital room for a few days or even weeks. The children’s ward could always use the burst of color and a cancer wing will be decorated with smiles after your delivery.

5) Sell them. I know, this isn’t the most charitable way to get the best out of your purchase, but you may have vases, candle holders, extra ribbon, etc. I am sure someone else needs whatever you are getting rid of, so why not make a profit? Ebay, Craigslist, local newspapers and even some wedding related forums and boards can be great resources for this.

6) Have them preserved. There are many companies that will turn your bouquet into a work of art. Keep these flowers as a reminder of the beautiful day that you shared your vows. These fabulous pieces of art can last a lifetime!

Grace on Wings- charity event

Many people are unable to afford the transport to get the medical care they so desperately need. With the support of charitable funding, Grace on Wings provides transport to patients who are needing to go to or from the Midwest for important treatment. This event was very successful this morning, with a good turn out and super nice weather. Visit their website and make a donation to this needy cause. This charity is helping people who need it, notice the picture of kenny at the bottom, he was helped by this charity 4 weeks ago and is doing well. This event featured a hog roast, games, free plane rides, silent auction, and dj. www.graceonwings.org

My obsession of the month- ballroom dancers

What can kick the celebration off better than ballroom dancers? Not only is it a suprise for your guests but it gets everyone in the mood to dance and have a good time. Weddings these days have become predictable, Wow your guests and add special touches to keep them entertained. Adding entertainment to your wedding is becoming more popular. Whether you hire a live band, a belly dancer, or photo booth these extra touches will have people talking about your wedding for years to come.
Photographer Jessica Strickland captured the moment at a wedding at the Arts Garden in downtown Indianapolis. I love Jessica's pictures.... http://www.jessicastrickland.com/. You can visit her blog by clicking on her name underneath my favorite blogs.

Congratulations to my new clients, Alan and Amy

Congratulations to Alan and Amy on their engagement! I have the pleasure to be working with them on their upcoming wedding next May. They will be getting married at St. Christophers church in Carmel. One of Amys favorite movies is Pretty Woman, so Alan decided to reinact the scene from the movie where Richard Gere comes driving up in a limo with flowers hanging out of the sunroof. So romantic!

My obsession of the month #1

This is my first obsession of the month. This is a new product or website I love. Jennifer Behr hair accessories are hot right now. You guys might have noticed one in the season finale of Gossip girl. Veils are not the only option for you brides out there. Many bride to be's are opting for lavish headpieces that show their style instead. I myself decided to wear a flower with feather pieces in it for my hair instead of a veil, it fit my personal style and my theme.
