DIY: Flower balls

One of my best assets as an event planner is finding ways for my clients to save money. There are so many ways to make an event on a budget look like a celebrity wedding. Its all in the details. So i decided to add a monthly post on DIY (do-it-yourself) ideas.
Flower balls add that extra little touch. You can put them on the aisle chairs during the ceremony, hang them from your tent ceiling, or outside in the trees. So many ways to use these, but the best part is - you can make them yourselves! Super easy!

heres how you make them:

Rodney and Nellie's 50th Anniversary Party

Wow 50 years of marriage, what an inspiration to all of us. Rodney and Nellie were married on December 26, 1958. We decided to go with the traditional gold and ivory color scheme but added in chocolate brown. We incorporated all things 1958 into the party from the music, photo slideshow and even a candy bar for favors that included candy from 1958. They even had a twinkie cake which came from Rodney buying Nellie a package of twinkies for their wedding cake back in 1958. Another great idea was we had a memory book instead of a guest book. Guests wrote and brought in their favorite memories of the couple. Such a touching party and one of my favorite nights of the year. My husband, Dave helped me work this event. We built this event from scratch in a church gym.
